Niccole Carner is a PhD student in Theatre Research. A Colorado native, she received her BA in English Literature and a BS in Biological Sciences from Colorado State University in 2008, and her MA in Literary and Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon in 2009. The following year, she earned an MLitt certificate in Renaissance Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Her primary area of research is modern Scottish nationalist theatre, and specifically the new works connected to the National Theatre of Scotland. She is also an actress appearing on the University Theatre stage as Marie in Woyzeck and Mollie Ralston in The Mousetrap, amongst other roles. She proudly owns a kilt.
This fall, Niccole is one of the TAs for ILS 200.
