Susan Drummond graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mary Washington, where she received a BA in Classics with a concentration in Latin. As an undergraduate, she spent a semester at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome, and received a research grant to study the Antro della Sibilla in Cuma immediately after. She is currently a second-year graduate student in the Classics department. Her general academic interest areas are Roman poetry of the Augustan Age - especially Vergil's oeuvre - and Archaic Greek poetry, and her favorite topics include metapoetics, allegory, sibylline prophecy, and the women of the Aeneid.
