Anna Zeide
Anna is a PhD student in the History of Science department, with interests in the history of food, environmental history, history of pubic health, and scientific expertise. She is beginning work on a dissertation about the history of canned food in America, focusing on how the place of processed food in the American diet was negotiated in the country's laboratories, kitchens, farms, and factories. Anna is also interested in contemporary food issues, and in teaching kids (and adults!) how to reconnect with their food through cooking and gardening.
Anna Zeide is a teaching assistant this fall for ILS 202.
