Position title: Lecturer, ILS 126
Tim Lindstrom is a graduate student in the Nelson Institute pursuing a Ph.D. in Environment & Resources and a certificate in Energy Analysis and Policy. Tim’s research focuses on place-based sustainability education. As a teaching assistant for Environmental Studies 126, he has worked with Cathy Middlecamp to develop several laboratory activities that explore campus energy use related to lighting and water. Tim is part of the ILS team as a lecturer. He is interested in collaborative efforts between faculty and campus operations that create opportunities to use the UW-Madison campus as a living-learning laboratory for environmental education.
Tim has worked with colleagues in DoIT Academic Technology to create Sustainable U, an educational mobile game. Sustainable U takes players on a journey to resurrect the UW–Madison campus and the city from a bleak future in which conservation and waste prevention methods were ignored.
